Here’s the idea. I have become incredibly slack on my posts. I’ve even started writing on a few occasions, only to get distracted with another activity then not finish the post. This is not okay. One thing worst than not doing anything at all is to start something but not finish it.
I delivered a lesson yesterday to a class that was all about turning an idea into a reality. It was heavily inspired by a book I read called “Zero to One” by Peter Theil and Blake Masters. The book is all about company start up’d and how to get them from an idea or ZERO, to an actual up and running company or ONE. It argues, and I have to agree, that the hardest stage of doing anything is the initial start, where you have to take the idea in your head and start the process of it becoming real.
In the lesson I also showed the students one of Casey Neistat’s vlogs about always seeing creative work through. The video is below and I urge you to take a look at it. If you’re not already familiar with Casey and you like YouTube vlogs then where have you been for the last 3 years? Casey says, “someone who starts something but doesn’t finish it, that is a loser. Someone who always finishes what they started, that is a closer!” In the lesson I asked the students whether they were losers or closers! You can imagine what a bunch of 16 – 20 year olds said. It was an inspirational speech and I felt it motivated them into producing some great work. The problem is, I am currently a “loser”. I’m not seeing through the ideas I start.
Well, here’s what I’m going to do. It’s time to take reign as a “closer” and make sure I see these posts through. “Post-ebuary” is my way of saying “Post Every Day of February”. It’s time to be a closer and see my ideas through. Tomorrow I am going to finish off one of the more lengthy posts that I started writing about my life so far. It’s a good read so I urge you to be here to check it out.
As for my athletic updates that usually occur at the end of each post. Let’s make that into a more formal part of this blog. At the end of each post I’ll just update you all on how my run was, how marathon training is going and any other athletic related activity.

Today’s athletic update: 9 miles in the cold frosty air. An absolutely cracking sunrise in the crystal clear sky, absolutely full of colour. This time of year has it’s perks, despite my fingers actually swelling up due to the freezing temperature, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Thank you for reading and remember, don’t be a loser.
